If you need to see your federal adjusted gross income you can see this when you use Preview My 1040. Click the link for instruction or see below to see Line 11, Form 1040, for your adjusted gross income.
You can view your 1040 form before you e-file:
There's probably a few ways to do this, but here's how I do it....
I'm using the TurboTax program on a laptop computer - it might be slightly different if your using a mobile device version.
On the drop-down menus at the upper left, select:
VIEW --> FORMS. This will change the screen view to look like actual IRS tax forms, instead of the TurboTax step-by-step screens.
On the Left side window , scroll up near the top of that window, and select FORM 1040 out of the multiple selections (near the top of available selections). This will bring up your 1040 form in the main part of the window.
Line number 11 is your ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME.
If your form is different than a 1040, it may be a slightly different line number. However, the words ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME should be in bold letters. Just search for those words.... In any event, it should be near the upper lines, before the section listing your standard or itemized deductions.
Hope this helps....
drhopcus Gave a good answer if you have the CD/Desktop version, but it looks like you have the online version.
On the menu bar on the left that shows.
This will display your 1040
