How do I upgrade from free to Premier?

I thought I might be eligible for Turbo Tax free based on my income in 2018.  I have completed my Federal and I do not quality for free and want to upgrade.  Will I need to clear my current year data?  I cannot seem to get out of the Free version.

No, you do not need to clear your data.  Here are the steps (online):

  • After sign in to your program, select Take me to my return
  • To your left panel, simply select Upgrade
  • See the attached screenshot

If this method does not work, to upgrade to Premier, follow these steps (online):

  • While in the program, 
  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in 'schedule e', and Enter ( pretending you are going to enter a rental which requires Premier edition)
  • Select Jump to schedule e
  • Follow prompts to upgrade

I have cleared my cache and tried Microsoft Edge.  The upgrade option is not available.

I have already cleared my return and recreated it once and really don't want to do it again:-(

Give a last try.  Sign out then sign back in.  Select Take me to my return, then at the right corner, type in 'schedule e' and follow prompts.

It still does the same - Takes me back to the site above.

I am not sure what to do!  I want to upgrade but not sure I can.

Let me see.. first of all, can you verify with me you are entering info under your account at <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.turbotax.com">www.turbotax.com</a>.

Forget it.  I set up a new account and re-entered my information.  Hope I depresciated my rental correct, all my information was in my other account!!

If you find a way to merge accounts let me know.  I hate that all my history is now attached to an account I can no longer use.
