How do I submit the extension without authorizing the IRS to withdraw funds? Setting the amount to 0 does not work, and clicking "skip payment" does not work.

An employee at Turbotax recommended that I "skip payment," but that did not work.

An IRS extension gives you until October to file, but it doesn't give you until October to pay your taxes. Taxes are due 4/15.

Two different employees have told me taxes are due today.  They do not tell me how to file the extension if I am not paying taxes this time.

To file the extension, please log in to the Extension App: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/">https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/</a>

I did log into the extension app.  How do I submit the extension in the extension app you recommended without authorizing the IRS to withdraw funds? Setting the amount to 0 does not work, and clicking "skip payment" does not work.

In this case you can select to Mail a Check.
