How do I report self-employment income from another country, earned while living in the US?

I do freelance writing and did one project for a Canadian company this year. I did the entire project while living in the US, and was paid via a check in Canadian dollars sent through the mail. How do I report this? Thank you for your help.

You report this income as self-employed income, even if you did not receive a form 1099-MISC. If you had related expenses, you can deduct them against this income.

In TurboTax, you report this income under Other self-employed income.

Thank you! I was also worried I might have to report it as 'foreign earned income' but looks like no, because I was living in the US.

No, this is not foreign earned income.
