How do I remove the file extension from Turbotax so I can complete my filing?

I initially started to file an extension using TurboTax but have now decided to file on time.  Turbotax as I complete the review process is requiring me to complete form 4868 and preventing me from finalizing the e-file.

At the top of your screen there is a MyAccount area.  Click on that and select Tools.  From Tools select Delete a Form.  You will be presented a list of forms in your return.  You can delete the 4868 extension from the list.

Sounds like a great answer cept I can not spot the "My Account" area to begin with....

I also do not have MyAccount at the top of the screen

The answer provided above was for TurboTax online editions prior to tax year 2017.

 

For the current 2019 TurboTax online editions -

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen while accessing your 2019 online tax return

Click on Tools

Click on Delete a form
