See the following:

How to access and manage your personal data from your Intuit Account

Here's how to access and download your personal data:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax, if you haven’t already
  2. Select Intuit Account on the left
  3. Now select Data privacy
  4. Select Download and then follow the screens to submit your data request

You’ll get an email once your data is ready, with instructions for downloading. Requests can take up to 45 days, depending on how much data is involved.

You'll be able to submit a new request for data from the same account after you receive that email.

Once you've downloaded your personal data file safely and securely from your Intuit Account, use the instructions below as needed to open the file and view it in a way that’s most helpful to you.

This doesn't answer the question regarding removing consent to use the tax info.

I'm filing a complaint regarding not being able to remove consent from your website.

Please clarify how this answers the question asked by the user. As far as I can tell, there is no option to revoke permission. If there is no such option, then please say so.

I feel uncomfortable with this new requirement on TurboTax. Is it even legal not to give users option to opt out?

Is it time to look for an alternative??

You should be able to decline the consent and move forward. Please try logging completely out of the TurboTax website, then clear your browser's cache and delete cookies. A full or corrupted cache can keep TurboTax from functioning properly. If that doesn't work, please try a different browser.

The question was how to revoke permission once it was already given.

I accidentally consented to using my tax return for ads, however, I want to revoke the permission. Refreshing and changing browsers does not bring the option back again.

Here is what a tried:

Incognito

New browser (Safari and Firefox)

Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on a different computer

Please see this Turbo Tax help article and click on Privacy Center.

What happens after I share my tax info with Intuit?

I don’t get why Intuit can’t just say.

1. No you can’t remove the permission once you consent to us using your info.

2. The permission is revoked after 1 year

No need to send articles that dances around this issue.

Please do not beat around the bush. Just say you can't revoke consent. This looks like a trap set in turbotax software. Turbotax is making us sign this and not even show what we signed. This is the treatment of paying customers. You probably do far worse with free one.

Write to privacy@intuit.com and say you want to revoke your consent for use of your tax return information by Intuit and its sibling companies. Intuit also has a site for privacy questions.

I signed two consents as I was mislead - one is for intuit to use my tax information to improve their system. I didn't even read the other one. Spent a couple of hours talking to intuit support representative. They can't even tell me what I signed. Turbo tax software doesn't show what I signed. Do you know what I signed. There are 2 consents before we give credit card to file. in both we fill our name, spouse name and date.

These are the two consents signed during tax preparation.

USE – Consent to Use of Tax Return Information

DISC – Consent to Disclosure of Tax Return Information

Thank you for that information!

Can you please suggest turbotax that they should allow users to revoke just like they consent in the web tax software itself. We play with numbers, filing methods that we assume everything is reversible until we file. This one feels like a trap set by turbotax to their paying customers.

This is ridiculous - and even illegal. We should be able to revote those permissions.

Yes, you can change how Intuit handles all your data.  Here's more info on Managing Your Intuit Privacy.

Are you purposely being obtuse or are you really this stupid?  The question is simple and you're refusing to answer it.

This doesn't answer the question of how to revoke permissions, does it?

Have the same issue. Looks like a trap for users who paid you. Please answer directly how to revoke permissions from using my data?

There are two answers already on this thread that answer this.

In order to undo the permissions that you clicked on accidentally you can email privacy@intuit.com as @Cynthiad66 says above.  When emailing state that you would like to revoke your "consent for use of tax return information."

You can also go to the Intuit Privacy Center.  All of the information that you have entered into Intuit can be controlled there and you can revoke your consent to share the information that you had previously agreed to.  Here is a link to the privacy center.
