How do I remove my spouse information?

Yes, you can remove your spouse's information from the Personal Info section, but if you used Turbotax last year, you may need to delete a few additional items as well.

 

Start here:

 

 

1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
2. Select Personal Info.
3. Select the down arrow to the right of your name.
4. Select Edit, then Continue.
5. Continue until you get to About your household.
6. Select Married, and Plan to file separately, or Single.
7. Finish the section based on your situation.

 

 

As you go through the rest of the return, you will need to delete a few other things like W-2 forms.

 

Here's how to do that:

 

 

1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
2. Select Wages & Income.
3. If you see questions about your income, answer them until you get to the screen titled Wages & Income. 
4. To the right of Job (W-2), select Edit/ Add.
5. Select the trash can icon below the W-2 information to delete it. Repeat if you have more than one to delete.
6. Select Continue to return to the Wages & Income screen.
