Quickzoom is a feature in Forms Mode that is available only using TurboTax CD/Downloads. Clicking on a Quickzoom button on a form or worksheet will open a related worksheet or schedule that provides more detail or supporting calculations for the current line item.

If you are using TurboTax Online you will not have this option.

I've got the CD loaded, but clicking Quickzoom gets me nowhere.  The lack of information in whatever field that is keeps showing up as an error on my federal return.  What do I do?

In step-by-step mode, it should show you the errors for you to correct.

You should not need to be in forms mode. If you do go into forms mode, you will see a red exclamation mark beside any form that needs attention.

You can click directly into the worksheet and see the pink error field.

When entering information in the forms mode, it can void the accuracy guarantee. Be careful you are not overriding values. If you do, return to the program and see if the program can pick up the issues and then you can cancel the override.

Using Turbotax from CD Installed but "QuickZoom" does not work?

(Problem is in Sch K-1 Box 20 Code Z?

Nothing I enter from the Statement A - QBI Pass-through Entity Reporting - seems to work. )

Figures Accountant put in:  Rental income (loss)                   -1.325

                                                    UBIA of qualied propeerty       24,500

Which do I use for Code Z - Section 199A information?

As you work through the interview to enter Schedule K-1, under Box 20 Code Z, enter the rental loss in the amount column.

A few screens later, you will see a page titled "We see you have Section 199A income." In most cases, the income comes from the partnership that generated the K-1. Choose a different box if this is not the case.

The next screen will present boxes for "[name of investment] has business income (loss)" and "[name of investment] has UBIA of qualified property." Check these boxes, then enter the related values from the K-1 into the drop-downs.

Be sure to answer all questions that follow until you arrive back at the K-1 Summary page.
