How do I prepare 1099 misc for people who have worked for me

You can start creating Form W2 for your employees or 1099-Misc in TurboTax Self-Employed by following the steps below:

1. Log into your TurboTax Account
2. Enter your Tax Timeline
3. Once you are in the Welcome Screen scroll towards the bottom and click Create W-2s and 1099s
4. Once you have clicked on the Create W2s and 1099s link you will be taken to Quick Employer website and you may begin to create and e-file both W2s and 1099s through this portal

The program will walk you through each step needed to create form 1099-Misc. Please remember to have the W-9s you collected from your contactors to enter their information and create the 1099. If you need a copy of Form W-9 I have provided a link below.
