How do I pay directly to IRS instead of via TurboTax

TurboTax Desktop user.

I calculated my return and determined that I owe IRS some tax. I want to pay tax directly with IRS instead of via Turbo (processing fees for direct payments are cheaper).

When trying to e-file, TurboTax does not let me e-File, without selecting the payment types? How can I pay direct and e-file?

Perhaps you could pay the exact owed amount direct as an Estimated Tax payment and then enter it in TurboTax.  TurboTax should then recaucluate your taxes and show that you owe zero.

use IRS website which can be used to pay estimated taxes or balance due (be sure to specify what it's for and the year) . another option is to mail payment to the address given

To pay the tax due pick you will mail a check then you can pay it however and whenever you want like directly on the IRS website.  I think Turbo Tax might be asking to pay the Turbo Tax fees.    What payment types is it giving you to select?
