Thanks man. I don't know why I didn't just look down there the first time.
It would be nice if the Sign Out link was not off the bottom of the page. It would be intuitive (pun intended) if it was under the personal profile emoji (top right).
I'm using TurboTax Business 2019. There is no Logout button at the bottom left, or anywhere else I can see.

The TurboTax Business Edition will ask you if you want to save the tax return when you close the program.
Or you can click on the File menu at the top left corner of the desktop program screen. Click on Save or Save As...
Thank you. Your answer was simple but to the point.
5 Stars for you.
I am in the middle of my taxes but need to download my Brokerage statement. I'm having trouble sinking with TT to this. The help line for my Brokerage account said I'm required to log out of TT but I don't see the "sign out" tab at the bottom left. I have the online version of TT.
When your screen is not maximized, it will show the 3 "hamburger" lines. You need to click on the 3 lines.
If your screen is not maximized, maximize it then you will see the 'sign out' on the lower left corner. Or as Amy suggested, you can select the 3 lines in upper left which will open the a menu for you to select 'sign out' as the last option listed.

Does this also work for online downloaded TT Premier?
Using the desktop editions you need to click on the File menu at the top left of the desktop program screen. Then click on Save or Save As...
Then you can just exit the program using Exit under the File menu.
Any,
Thank you for the reply but I don't see the hamburger lines or any way to sign out of this program other than delete what I have already started.
I just found a note when I click on " continue from TT online".
First let's get you signed securely.
To increase security, you must sign in to your secure Intuit account before importing your tax data from TT online.
But I can't sign out of my ongoing taxes first.
No sign out in lower left.
I would send pictures but they are too large
@jtb5 What TurboTax program are you using?
The TurboTax online web-based editions? If so, are you using the Mobile Device or are you using a computer to access the online edition?
Or are you using the TurboTax desktop CD/Download edition installed on a personal computer? If so, are you using Windows or Mac as your operating system.
I can close my ongoing return so it's not open on my computer but I can't sign out.
If you have the online version of TurboTax and you close out of the browser, it automatically saves your work ( as long as you have hit continue) and then all you need to do is close the browser to sign out. When you go to log back in later, you will need to enter your username and password to get back in your return. When you close it, you are signed out.
I am seeing you say Online Premiere and the you downloaded a version. If you downloaded the program, it is saved local on your computer. If you go to the top left hand corner and click File>>Save, you have saved your return, then you can just hit the x on the upper right hand side and it will close out.
Which of these screens do you see when using TurboTax -
Online - Column of Links on the left side of the screen
Desktop CD/Download editions - Links across the top of the screen -
Vanessa,
So I guess I'm not understanding how to close the browser because all I do is click the red dot top left to quit and save my form and removing it from my computer screen. Then I go to the bottom of the screen and remove it from the Dock. When I open the program again it automatically comes up.
When you start the TurboTax desktop software, that does not log you into a TurboTax account. All you need to do is go to the Investment section and download the Form 1099-B from your brokerage account.
To enter an investment sale -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Under Investment Income
On Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other, click the start or update button
This is the problem.
Sorry this will be a long explanation:
I was told I need to sign out/ log out of my TT program to download my brokerage account.
I tried several times and spoke with the IT service with my Brokerage account. I have to log into my brokerage account first and then after 10 minutes I open my tax program and it should download. I tried that with the IT people on the phone but when I opened the tax program my tax form wasn't there. So I had to fill everything in again and I was successful in downloading the Brokerage information. Then I accidentally deleted the Tax form so I had to start again but didn't get to the part where I download the Brokerage account so I closed it. The next day I tried the download and it wouldn't work. I'm thinking because I wasn't signed out/logged out of my Tax program.
So I'm trying to sign out and I can't do that.
