How do I know the K-1 I received had 'any activities in 2018 that were classified as SSTB's or had income attributable to to SSTBs

If you did not receive a 2018 Schedule K-1 from this business, you would answer no.  If you did receive it you can look at it and review the Statement A - QBI Pass-through Entity Reporting to see if the SSTB box is checked for any of the columns.

Ok.  So, if I have the K-1 but NOT the Statement A then the answer is also no?  It looks like the first year a Statement A was included was 2019.

Correct, if there is no Statement A for 2018, you can mark no.

@AliciaP1

I did a text search of "Statement A" on my 2018 K-1 form but it did not find anything.  Does that mean I did not have the Statement A in 2018 and I can just answer No?

Thanks in advanced for your guidance.

That is correct.  If you didn't have a statement A then you can answer 'no'.
