How do I know I did my taxes and it's on its way

TurboTax does not get any information about refund status. You must check the status yourself using the IRS refund tracking web site: https://www.irs.gov/refunds

You should get a email confirmation from Turbotax that your return(s) were transmitted.

If you don't, be sure to check your email spam filter.  My confirmation email was sitting

there, and I clicked the "Allow" button to let it go through to my email program on my PC.

I then clicked the "Refresh" button on my email program and it came through.  You should

receive the email within a few minutes of e-filing your returns in Turbotax.
