How do I import file from my accounting software into TurboTax Home & Business 2017 CD/Download version?

  • I have TurboTax Home & Business 2017, the CD/Download version.  I want to import accounting info from my accounting software.  The TT Help says there should be an Import option in the TT File menu.  But I do not have this Import option.  Why don't I have the Import option?

Not an answer but the only way I can post a picture.  You're saying you don't have that "From Accounting Software" option from the drop down list?  (Picture)

If that's the case then it seems like the first thing to try is an uninstall/reinstall.

Thanks for your response.  My File menu looks the same as your screen shot, except mine is missing "Import" and "Remove Imported Data".  I'd send a screen shot, but I don't see a way to do that.

My screenshot is from TT Home & Business (desktop) so you should be seeing exactly that.

I got it working.  I uninstalled TurboTax, rebooted, logged in to my PC's administrator account, and installed TurboTax.  Now I see the File -> Import menu option.  The first time I installed it, I was logged in as a regular user and ran the install as administrator.  But apparently, that wasn't good enough.  All set now.  Thanks!
