Here are directions for obtaining a copy of your 1095-A online, or by phone.

If you have not yet received your 1095-A, you can obtain the form the Marketplace online or by phone.

How to find your 1095-A online:

·         Log into your Marketplace account at https://www.healthcare.gov

·         Click the green Start a new application or update an existing one button

·         Choose Go to my applications & coverage at the bottom of the screen

·         Under Your existing applications" select your 2017 application — not your 2018 application. 2017 will be below your 2018 application

·         Select Tax forms from the menu on the left

·         Download all 1095-As shown on the screen

If you can’t find it in your Marketplace account, contact the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Click below for additional information from the marketplace about your 1095-A.

I really got the run around yesterday from that Marketplace.   Women keep going in circles with me for an hour.   I finally hung up and redialed.  The new person told me since I signed up with an Insurance Agent to just call them and they would give me it me.   So, I did.    That's the benefit of using an insurance agent to shop your health insurance for you.   You get personalized service and don't have to deal that the Employee that knows nothing and gives you the run around and wastes your time.

Joanna,

Thank you for your time and all your help  Sadly, the link you sent me was not helpful at all!!! I also received a new email with my with my balance with Turbo Tax.  Same as before incorrect.  I thought you took off the $90.00 for self employment prep which I never needed or had for the year 2019!  Super frustrating spending all that time on the phone with you and still have problems especially with the billing from you guys  please correct immediately and send me a new balance before due date so I do not have to call back again.  I am still working on getting my form 1095A from CoveredCa.

  2. Under "Your Existing Applications," select your 2019 application — not your 2020 application.
  3. Select “Tax Forms” from the menu on the left.
  4. Download all 1095-As shown on the screen.

Yes.  The form 1095-A is used to report health insurance purchased through Healthcar.gov or your state's Health Insurance agency  The form 1095-A is mailed to taxpayers on January 31 of the year.  You may call your Health Insurance Marketplace to avail a copy or visit the website..

If you are on Medicare, you will not receive a Form 1095-A.  The Medicare premiums you pay will show on your Social Security statement, Form SA-1099.

You may also receive a 1099-B form,  a tax form that reports the type of health insurance coverage you have, any dependents covered by your insurance policy, and the period of coverage for the prior year. This form is used to verify on your tax return that you and your dependents have at least minimum qualifying health insurance coverage.

It is not necessary to have Form 1095-B to file your taxes.  For more information, please see this TurboTax Help article:  What is Form 1095-B: Health Coverage
