How do I get a record of an extension filing?

I filed an extension through here, but I didn't see it in my email.  How do I get a record that I filed an extension?

Thanks

You need to pay for TurboTax and then go to tax tools, print, and print the return with all forms included.

even if this is for filing 2023 taxes?  It was an account I already paid for when I filed the extension.  I was supposed to get some sort of notification for that and I'm never received it.  I have to pay again for something I already paid for?

Download the pdf file.  Your extension should be in there

@ibroker What exactly are you trying to do?   If you requested an extension, the IRS knows about it.  But----the extension gave you until October 15 to file your tax return.   What did you pay for when you requested the extension?  Did you pay your TurboTax fees?   Did you pay your estimated 2024 tax with the extension request?  Are you now trying to finish the return you started so that you can file it? If so, it can only be filed by mail, and you will have to finish preparing it using the downloaded desktop software on a full PC or Mac.

Is that proof that I filed an extension?

@ibroker To whom are you trying to provide proof that you requested an extension?

I need to prove to the IRS that I filed an extension.  THey are saying that didn't receive it.  They say there should be some receipt or something that I should have received.

Form 4868 is the extension. If you filed it, it will be part of your return. You may have marked that you wanted to file an extension but never completed the mission. An easy way to do an extension, is to simply make a payment with the IRS and mark that it is for the extension. That creates an automatic extension with no paperwork needed. Did you make a payment online rather than filing? If you coded it correctly, that would serve as proof.  You can check your online account for payments made to the IRS.
