How do I get a number on line 24K on 1040

There is no line 24k on a Form 1040.  What are you trying to do?

If you are referring to Schedule 1, Line 24k - Excess deductions of section 67(e) expenses from Schedule K-1 (Form 1041), it should come from the K-1 to your tax return.  

 

Complete the K1 entry and then you can use the Preview My 1040 to view your Schedule 1.

  • Select Tax Tools in the left menu. 
  • You'll find Tools beneath Tax Tools.
  • Select View Tax Summary
  • Select Preview My 1040 (left panel)
