How do I find IRS acceptance code for filing 2024 taxes?

There is no "acceptance code"---

 

Did you e-file?  Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

 

 

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

 

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?  (Allow 24 - 48 hours after acceptance to look)

  Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?” Or “Rejected?” Or “Printed?”

Where's My Refund shows your refund status:

• Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
• Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
• Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

What is the context of your question?  Why are you asking?

Is someone asking you for proof that you filed your 2024 taxes, like a mortgage company, etc.?

@wolcott_theresa    If you efiled there should be an Electronic Postmark page. Probably near the end. That is your proof and signature. If you print out your return to give someone you will have to sign it in ink for them.
