How do I file an extension after July 15?

You cannot.   Too late.

An extension is only to file anyway.  Any tax owed even with an extension had to be paid by July  15 to avoid penalty.    If due a refund then an extension makes not difference since on the only penalty is you do not get the refund until you file.

You can't file for extension after the deadline to file for an extension has passed.
