How do I file a federal extension?

I live in Florida and need to file a federal extendion for 2024. How do i file a federal tax extension?

That should have been done by April 15, 2025.  It is too late to e-file a federal extension request.   You can try to print and mail an extension request.   The IRS will identify your automatic extension to May 1 by your zip code.
