How do I extend my extend my taxes as someone who’s never done them before? It is saying I’m not in the system/ don’t exist.

I’m 21 and I was a dependent on my parents taxes until this year so I’ve never done them before.

You have to create an account to use the TurboTax online editions.

Go to this TurboTax website and click on Sign up in the upper right of the page to create a new account and a new User ID - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/file-your-own-taxes/

It is too late to file an extension. Just fill out your tax return and efile or mail it. You can efile until Oct 15.
