How do i enter less than $10 in interest without a FEIN and without a 1099-in since turbotax keeps trying to make me enter a fein?

in desktop I was able to skip entering the FEIN

however, if Turbotax demands an FEIN try entering a dummy #  like 36-1234567

I don't know why TT wants an FEIN when it's, as far as I know, not transmitted on an e-file and does appear on schedule B whether e-filing or filing by mail

you also have the option of contacting TT and complaining and asking them what to do. however if you are using the free version there is no support

If you received less than $10 and did NOT receive a 1099-int form than you do not need to report it. If you do want to report it it would be under Misc Income as Interest less than $10.
