You should have received the license code when purchasing the TurboTax software. You will need it to download and install TurboTax on your personal computer.

Did you buy it from Costco Online or in the store? If you bought it online this is how mine was.....
1/3/25 Bought Home&Business from Costco online. 20 min later got email with License Code and download link. Clicked on Download link. It took me directly to Turbo Tax to download. Had to pick my product then select Win or Mac. Program downloaded.
Had to go to my Downloads folder. Clicked on downloaded .exe file. It started but stopped saying I needed Microsoft Visual C++ with an install button. I clicked on it and it installed the MS Visual C ++. Then it continued to install Turbo Tax.
Checked on the License Agreement. Clicked on Install. Minute later it was done and launched.
Sign in to Intuit Account, had to get email code to enter.
Got License Code screen. Went and copied 16 digit code from email and pasted it into code box.
Got into program.
First thing I did was check for updates. Then I always go up to Online-Updater Preferences and check Ask me before getting updates.
I have purchased the software from Costco, but after I purchased it my laptop died and I had to buy a new one. Can you help me download again?

I am unable to start with a log on. message is "Failed to runSetUp.exe, working dir= c:/users//user/app data/local/temp/ckz-K5KG (check to see is this file is in the EXE)"
I do not know what this means or how to check the EXE. Also, the slanted marks that i used are supped to be slanted backwards. HELP!
If you purchased TurboTax from Costco, check for an Email from them containing a Link to Download the Program and possible a License Code as well.
If you received that and downloaded the program, you can find your Downloads in a link on your desktop 'This PC' or type 'Downloads' in the Windows search area. You'll get a pop-up screen to click on your Downloads folder.
Double click on the TurboTax Download (might say TT 2024 Ind, or something similar, but will end in .exe), and a small window should pop up saying 'Installing'. It takes awhile to download TurboTax, so make sure you have all other programs closed while installing.
You'll be asked to Sign In to your Intuit account when install is complete.

ONE PERSON POSTED A LINK TO GO TO BUT IT ASKS YOU TO CHOOSE YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM AND THERE IS NO PLACE TO DO THAT. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP. SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS. WHY ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS NOT CORRECT? IT SAYS IT IS SIMPLE TO INSTALL WITH YOUR LICENSE CODE BUT IT IS NOT. THERE IS NO WHERE TO DO THIS AND I PURCHASED THE ONE TO GET HELP BUT THEY WON'T HELP YOU UNLESS YOU BUY SOMETHING ON LINE AND I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED IT SO THEY WILL NOT LET ME GET PAST STEP ONE WHICH IS LOGGING IN TO INTUIT. The license code I got was with my purchase so no one emailed me a link. Mine will not work because I cannot get to where you were. Can you send me the email that sent you the link? Maybe someone at Costco can help me since no on at Intuit give a care.

Thanks for the link. Everything worked perfectly. The info that came from the Costco purchase was useless. It claimed my activation code was not valid. I was ready to start making calls when I cam across your info. I can't imagine that Intuit provides a non-functioning link on the packet you buy from Costco and doesn't realize it.
Then again, I've met a lot of software engineers and moronic middle managers.

Check your emails there will be an email from "CostcoEDelivery" at "esd.synnex.com" (removed email format since this site removes it) - subject line is "Your Software Activation Keys"
There is a download link at bottom of the email. The link points to https://www.installturbotax.com/ (not sure why they have used a different domain, which makes it look scammy, over using well known turbotax.com or intuit.com domain names. However it does redirect to https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/install-turbotax/
From there you can choose the one you purchased and have license key.
