How do I download a copy of the extension filed within Turbo Tax

I need the file that I did for the tax extension. I paid turbo tax so why can't I find this file?

If you do not print when you file the extension, you will have to pay for the product if in a paid product, if you are in the free product you will have to act like you are filing by mail then select Tax Home and then you should see at my docs, until the deadline to print free returns.

Simply sign in at TurboTax.com with the same login you used to e-file. You'll see a link where you can print the 4868, right underneath your extension status.

I have the same issue as both comments above.

I also have the same issues.  When I look in my "documents", I see the extension.pdf but when I click it, it tells me the page cannot be found.  I need a copy of the 4868.

I click on the download extension.pdf and nothing loads.

Wow!  I have been working with Turbo tax for 2 days on this very issue.  They act like this is a surprise.  So  frustrating:(

Have you paid for the tax filing? I was told no documents will be available until the tax product is paid for.

Me too - what a scam.  I shouldn't have to pay for the full product just to get a copy of the extension.  Will never use TurboTax again.

I have the same issue.  I needed copy of my 4868 to apply for a loan.

Scott, this answer is not helpful for 2017 extensions as shown in the comments. Is TurboTax purposefully making the extension filing unavailable or is this a technical glitch?

Same problem. Spoke to someone at TurboTax and they said i have to get it from the IRS.  Why would i file through TurboTax if TurboTax can't help me?

I just tried and it worked. I found it under My Docs (for me its under the 2017 taxes ) and it'll take you to to a page that has the 2018 extension as well as the 2017 tax return. It left me download my 2018 extension without a problem. Not sure if its not working for anyone else if this is your first time using TurboTax unlike myself.

Martha, you saved me. It's 1am here and I was in a panic to get the form to the bank.

You'll need to go to "My Docs" to find it, then there will be a section under the appropriate year for your extension.  No idea why TurboTax makes it so difficult to find, even when you pay them.
