Try deleting the form:

  1. Under Tax Tools, choose Tools
  2. Choose Delete a Form
  3. Scroll through your return until you find Form 1095, click Delete to the right of the form
  4. Confirm that you wish to delete the form

Only the 1095-A needs to be entered on your return from insurance purchased through the marketplace. If you received a different 1095 form, such as one from employer benefits, you do not need to enter anything on your return. It is for your records only.

Hi,

I appreciate your feedback but I am still not able to file my taxes because I keep getting an error that needs to fixed on the federal side. When i click on fix this issue it brings me to

the 1095-a form that asks me to delete if someone else is claiming you on their tax returns. That is the form that I am not able to delete, Any idea? Thank you!!!

Try this option. Review the Healthcare sections again.

  • Click on Deductions & Credits under Federal
  • Under the menu for Medical, click Start/Revisit next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A)
  • Answer No indicating that you do not have the form to enter or click Delete next to any previously entered responses

You may need to go ahead and efile your state return (Mass?) if you were going to use TT to do it and then use the tax tools/tools to delete and start over the federal and don't go into the state. Just efile the federal.   Sometimes entries get "stuck" in worksheets in the software that just can't be deleted.
