Here are the steps for deleting unwanted forms in TurboTax Online:

Open your return in TurboTax. (To do this, sign in to TurboTax, and select the Take me to my return button.)

In the left side bar, select Tax Tools> Tools.

In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.

Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet and follow the onscreen instructions.

The 1095-A form is not showing up with all of the other forms to delete.

Is is showing in your return?  Did you delete a form connected to the 1095A?

I am not seeing the 1095-A form in the list of items to delete in the Federal side.

See it for state but not on the Federal side, Please advise. Thanks

Are you receiving an error related to this form? Review the Healthcare sections again.

  • Click on Deductions & Credits under Federal
  • Under the menu for Medical, click Start/Revisit next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A)
  • Answer No indicating that you do not have the form to enter or click Delete next to any previously entered responses

I am also experiencing this problem and am unable to find it in the list of forms to delete. I accidentally clicked yes to a 1095-A instead of a 1095-C. It keeps asking for my SSN and I cannot finish my filing until I delete this form.

Online version:

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. Locate Tax Tools
  3. Select Tools
  4. See the pop-up window Tool Center
  5. Choose Delete a form
  6. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list
  7. Follow the instructions

Windows Desktop:

  1. On the top right, there is a FORMS button.
  2. Click on FORMS.
  3. The program shifts and you see a list of forms on the left hand side.
  4. Locate the form you want to delete.
  5. Click on the form name.
  6. Below the form, bottom left, select DELETE FORM button.
  7. Click on Step by Step to return to the program.

Mac Desktop:

same as windows except step 6, use delete on keyboard

The correct answer is given above . . . go to the Federal Section, Deductions and Credits, Medical, find the question about whether you've been sent a 1095-A, and change it to no. The other "Here's how you delete a form" answers are from lazy people who didn't bother to read the responses already given, from people who correctly point out that the form does not show up in the list of forms to be deleted.

Did you get it figured out!

When revisiting the section the default answer is still set to yes but the 8962 and 1095A are not part of the return.

If you select Yes you will be prompted to enter the 1095A information and you cannot continue leaving the full form blank as an error will be presented.

Now you will not be prompted with the yes/no question to receiving the 1095A and will see your entry with options to edit/delete the entry.

Delete the 1095A entry and both the 1095A and 8962 are removed from the return.
If you revisit the section again default will be yes but the forms are removed

Now, select No, e-file your return, and if you are rejected, then the IRS requires your 1095A in the return (see above help article).

Under Delete a Form, look for Form 8962 (that's where the 1095-A is entered) under Federal. If Form 8962 is there, select Delete.

hi ,did you finally figure out how to fix this? having same problem.

  • Open your tax return
  • Search for 1095-a in the search box on the right
  • Jump to 1095-a
  • Click on the trash can next to 1095-a

E-file reject F8962-070 happens when your return is missing Form 1095-A.

The IRS compares the information you enter on your return with what they have in their database.

Your tax return gets rejected when the information on the return does not match or missing from what IRS has in their database

If you or anyone in the tax return had insurance with the marketplace you should get 1095-A and input the information.

Sign in to your healthcare.gov account and download 1095-a if you did not receive it from the marketplace already.

Click ok the link for more information

1095-A and rejects

I called healthcare.gov as my taxes were rejected twice ....and of course I found out that someone managed to open insurance in my name in Miami Gardens,FL ....I live in Jersey... So there's that...

As mentioned before ..my advice is to call healthcare.gov first to verify if anything was submitted in your name/SSN and then go from there

It was such a pain for me....so I decided to just pick up the phone and call the health marketplace number

1-800-318-2596 (TTY: 1-855-889-4325)

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except holidays)

sorry it's soo big (copy and pasted)

but come to find out someone was able to take out Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance in my maiden name in a state I lived in years ago... So this may be a route to try

unfortunately, my information has been in multiple security breaches and unbelievable things like this can happen

Good Luck
