How do I delete a 1099-misc entry this year? I received a 1099-Misc last year, but not this year. TurboTax will not let me delete that entry for this tax year.

Do a Search (upper right) for 1099-r and click on the jump-to link (Mac users must look for 1099-R in the Topics List).

 

This should bring you to a table of 1099-R entries. Look at each entry and see if you can identify the 1099-MISC that should not be there. You should be able to delete it using the Delete button or the trash can icon. 

 

Otherwise, you can try to delete the form this way:

 

*** Desktop***

 

1. go to View (at the top), choose Forms, and select the desired form (one of the 1099-MISCs - make sure you have the right one). Note the Delete Form button at the bottom of the screen.

 

*** Online ***

 

1. go to Tax Tools (on the left), and navigate to Tools->Delete a form

2. delete look at the name and delete the 1099-MISC that should not be there.
