How do I claim my disabled mother as a dependent and get credit for her on my taxes?

Hi all and happy tax season 2019. I have an issue. I have a disabled mother who is on SSI and Disability that I take full care of. She is 65, legally blind, on dialysis, diabetic and HBP. I do everything for her; doc appts, cooking, shopping, cleaning and the whole 9 yards, but in he past when I would file for her as a dependent, I never received any kind of credit for her. I think this is totally unfair due to the fact that my income exceeds hers and she is pretty much my dependent at this point. I have heard of folks filing for a disabled parent and getting credits for them; how are they filing that they are getting credit, and I can't seem to?

You may be eligible for the $500 credit for other dependents. See link below for qualifications.
