How do I change my marital status to Single

I got divorced last year, need to change to single

If you used your TurboTax online account when you were married and filing jointly, you need to create a new account now that you are no longer married.

Go to this TurboTax website and click on Sign up in the upper right of the page to create a new account with a new User ID - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/file-your-own-taxes/

Sign into TurboTax

  1. Select My Info.
  2. Select Edit for your name.
  3. Go through the interview until
    1. You get the Question About your household
    2. Select Divorced
    3. Your filing Status will be Single.
