I have free health insurance with ACA due to low income. I thought I had to answer yes for paying ACA plan but I didn't have to pay for it. Now for whatever reason Turbo Tax keeps defaulting my answer as yes to having a 1095-A, but I only have a 1095-B. I don't want my return to get rejected looking for a 1095-A when I never got one, because I never paid for ACA ins.
If this is the question I think it is, TurboTax resets it to YES every time you re-enter the input screen. That is, if you enter NO, TurboTax saves that internally, but when you return, TurboTax wants you to reconfirm the choice.
You can confirm this by looking at your forms (CD/download product) and seeing if there is a form 8962 attached to your return.
If you have an Online product, you can't see Forms mode, but you can see if a form is present on your return by trying to delete it.
On the left, click on Tax Tools, then click on Tools underneath. In the center, click on Delete a Form. Scroll down the list. if 8962 is not there, then TurboTax heard your NO and saved it.
