How do I attach supporting documents to get my underpayment penalty waived?

You can use Form 2210 in TurboTax to request a waiver of your underpayment penalty.  

 

To get to these screens in TurboTax you can do the following:

1.  Click on "Search" in the upper right of your screen and 
2. Type "penalty" in the search box.  Then 
3. Select "jump to penalty".  
4. This will take you to the screens in TurboTax that address the underpayment penalty.
5. The Underpayment Penalties screen will display the penalty amount.

IRS Form 2210 will calculate the penalty for underpaying your estimated taxes. TurboTax will create this form if it is needed for your return.
