how do I apply part of 2023 refund on my 2024 return?

I applied $3000 of my 2023 refund to my 2024 estimated tax on my 2023 return (line 36).  How do I get this amount to show up on my 2024 return (line 26)?

Federal>Deductions and Credits>2023 Refund Applied to 2024

Here is how to report:

 

  1. Go to deductions and credits
  2. Estimates and other Taxes Paid.
  3. Estimates
  4. Federal Estimated Taxes for 2024
  5. Enter the amount as a payment made on 04/15/2024.
