To receive your complimentary subscription to QuickBooks Self-Employed through October 31, 2021, you must pay for your 2019 TurboTax Self-Employed or TurboTax Live Self-Employed return between April 16, 2020 and October 15, 2020 and sign in and access your QuickBooks Self-Employed account via mobile app or online at least twice by December 31, 2020.
You'll have the option of renewing your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription by October 31, 2021 for another year at the then-current subscription rate. You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the QuickBooks Self-Employed billing section. See QuickBooks.com for price comparison.

I filed my 2019 taxes on 3/31/20 and paid $230 with the Turbotax self employed + state bundle with QB Self employed, in the same way I have for the previous 2 years. But as of 1/1/21 my QB self-employed is asking for monthly subscription. This never happened before. What is going on?
