How come my state is saying I owe over $200,000 in state returns? when I only made $47,000 last year?

You most likely have made a typo somewhere when entering your data; the error is probably a misplaced decimal point or extra zeros entered somewhere.  Preview your return including supporting forms, and see if any numbers stand out.  Review any income entries you made and any allocations you made when preparing your state return.
