How can I identify in a jointly file the tax portion of each individual?

Dear all,

I am filling the taxes with my spouse. I work in a company (I received the W-2 form), and she is self-employed (we file Schedule C). We need to file jointly, but we would like to know the tax portion of each one individually. Do you know if there is a way to find these figures without filling separately?

Thank you.

There is no way to find out what portion of the tax return is for each spouse on a Married Filing Jointly tax return. You could get an approximation by calculating the portion of taxable income that is from each spouse's net income. However, remember that the spouse who is self employed must also pay self employment tax on the net income.
