Sighed up for premier turbotax and dont want to pay for it! Online help is worthless.
Unfortunately TT online or phone help uus worthless. They could never answer my questions and want to refer me to a manager or cap that would supposedly call me back in 24-72 hours. So much for the the online people being tax professional or even know the product.
Would have been glad to pay but spent a lot of time with no help!

If you are using the desktop version, you can do stock sales in Deluxe.... But if you stay with Online TurboTax - it will force upgrade to Premier if you enter a stock sale. That is probably what happened. You started in Free and were upgraded because of the stock sales...
If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
By the way, there is no "Standard" version unless you are in Canada. There is the Free Edition and Deluxe.
In the Turbo Tax Free Edition, information that you can enter is limited now. Why do I have to upgrade from the Free Edition?
