How can I fix the consent to file - identity. My last name does not agree but it is the same?

Try re-typing your name in the field. Tiny differences like a space after your name can cause the computer to say it is not a match.

Try this:

  1. Open your return and select Federal, then My info or Personal Info.
  2. Clear and re-type your last name being careful not to add a space at the end. 
  3. Click Continue to the next page. 
  4. Select Federal Review in the upper right corner.
  5. Continue form there through the File section.
