How can I find a tax filing receipt received from a tax preparer OR An electronic postmark generated by a tax preparer or tax return software OR A completed Form 9325?

I'm self employed, applying for a loan, and the lender is looking to verify that my 2015 & 2016 tax returns are a filed copy.

Go to the paid tax preparer you used for the 2015 and 2016 tax returns for the receipt.
Or go to the IRS website for free federal tax transcripts - <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript">https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript</a>

If you used TurboTax, your return was "self-prepared."

TT is a self prepared program and will not have any paid preparer forms in it ... the bank wants to know that the returns you are showing them are the ones actually filed.... don't know why they don't pull a transcript themselves but you can do so ...

You can get a return transcript from the IRS for free :  http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

If you filed electronically, there is an Electronic Postmark page which contains both the date filed and the date the Feds accepted the filing.

To get it, you would have to create a new PDF file from whatever software you used to send in the tax return.

For Desktop software, you would open that file and FIRST, check for e-file status from WITHIN that file. save the file and log out. Then re-start and open the file again and generate a NEW PDF file. The electronic postmark is a part of that new PDF file.

For Online, it would be part of a new PDF file, you would have to generate a new PDF file, and look in that PDF file for the Electronic Postmark page
