How can I file for an extension on turbotax? I tried searching the word "extend" and I did not see a "jump to" link of any sort.

I also do not have an option on my homescreen to file my extension. My husband and I never received our 2019 tax return and on the IRS website it says that it is still processing so I am not sure what to put as the AGI... I requested my transcript of the site too but that transcript stated that "We have no record of a processed tax return for the tax period listed above." I need to file an extension because after a month, I still cannot figure out what is wrong.

Since the IRS has not processed the 2019 tax return you will need to enter a 0 (zero) for the 2019 AGI so that you can e-file the 2020 tax return.

To file an extension -

Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Other Tax Situations at the top of the program screen

Under Other Tax Forms

On File an Extension, click on the start button
