How can I edit 1099-B data entries? Doesn't seem possible in my downloaded turbotax

Do you see the edit button and the Trash Can symbol on the Investment Summary screen?

They edit button and trash can are NOT visible.  The right hand side seems to be cut off.

So far, I've only heard of this on a MAC.

.....Things to try....

1)  any scroll bar along the bottom?

2) Can you widen the screen?

3) Narrow the screen way down so that the display resizes?...or maybe then a scroll bar would appear?

4)  An earlier response (though, for a different situation) suggested that using the TAB key or arrow keys might get over to the spot you want. 

Thanks.  The scroll bar approach worked.  This is on a MAC.  Also, I was able to correct the data last night by going into "Tax Forms" directly and making the changes there.

Was the scroll bar already there?  And you just didn't notice?

Or did you have to modify the TTX window size to get it to show up?

It was there and I hadn't noticed.

I don't see the scroll bar and have this same issue. I cant seem to edit my 1099-B entry and made an error. 

The Edit button and trashcan delete icon are to the right of the IRS form 1099-B at the screen Your investment sales summary.

Some report that they must move the scroll bar at the bottom of the page to the right to see these buttons.

In TurboTax Desktop, follow these steps:

• Across the top of the screen, select Federal Taxes.
• Across the top of the screen, select Wages and Income.
• Select I'll choose what I work on.
• Scroll down to Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
• Select Start/Update to the right.
• At the screen Your investment sales summary, see the Edit button and trashcan icon.

I finally found the scroll bar. It was a thin gray line below the information entered. Once the scroll bar was found, I was able to scroll over to the right and see the trash can. A design flaw at least for the MAC version. 

Exactly.  Don't forget that you can also jump out of "walk me through" mode and go into "tax forms" and enter the corrections there.

I have the same problem. I am using the premier system on a Macintosh. Even with the window maximized I see the beginning of a box that says "needs editing" with the right side cut off, but no edit button or trash can.I need to update my basis for several sales.

Is there a scroll bar along the bottom that allows you to view the right side of the screen?

Scroll bar under the text displayed worked. However, when editing the details Turbo Tax hung and ceased responding to input.

hi, I can't edit mine either. I do have the trash and edit visable. I click the edit and get a message "looks like we hit a snag", go back to last topic make sure data input is correct. I manually entered this so i figured I could delete it . Click the trash can and screen goes gray. Not sure whats going on. Turbotax 2024 deluxe desktop on a mac
