The W-4 can be a useful tool to ensure there is no additional tax due with the tax return.  And a change in marital status definitely an indicator the a the W-4 needs to be reviewed and possibly updated.  Our W-4 calculator will fill out one for you to provide to your employer.  After making the change,  monitor your paystub to make sure your employer makes the change timely.  About three to six months later, use your most recent paystub to re-visit the W-4 calculator just to verify no additional changes need to be made.  You may also want to keep a copy of the W-4 for yourself  so you can track changes made.
