If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

Go to the Personal Info section (My Info in TurboTax Online).   Edit the section that shows your name.   After you answer the questions about your marital status, you are asked about dependents.   You will also be asked the qualifying questions for the Head of Household status.   If you qualify, TurboTax will automatically update your filing status.   

 

Do I qualify for Head of Household in 2024?   These are the questions that are asked in the interview.
