How can I cancel my deluxe subscription with Turbo Tax? I did not want it and clicked it accidentally while trying to find an exit button.

By the term"subscription" I'm not sure how you are using that term.  Is it one of these three things?

• Did you start an Online return in Online Deluxe (or upgraded to Deluxe), and now want to erase your return and don't intend to use TurboTax to prepare your return this year?
• Or did you end up in Online Deluxe but want to downgrade to Free Edition to continue your return?    Free Edition is for simple returns only--essentially a Form 1040 only.   We can explain that more.
• Or did you end up signing up for the TurboTax Advantage program, which is an annual desktop software (CD/download) subscription?

We can tell you more once it's clear what your ultimate goal is.

We can also tell you about various free products available through the IRS Free File website if you meet certain income qualifications.   TurboTax doesn't participate in that program, but several other providers do.  The various IRS Free File providers offer a free Federal return, and some of the providers also include a free state return.

Follow these steps to downgrade to a different TurboTax Online product:

1. Open your return if you haven't already.
2. In the left menu, select Switch Products.
3. Select Downgrade.
