How can i can my filing status? It has me as single when it should be head of household

Did you claim a qualifying dependent?   Your dependent cannot be a GF or BF or the child of a BF or GF.

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

 

 

 

You are only eligible for Head of Household if you have a qualifying person as a dependent and you have provided over one-half the cost to maintain your household.
