How am I supposed to show husband and I filed separately last year so that I can add his AGI?

Last year my husband and I filed separately.  This year we filed jointly.  I entered my AGI alone and my return was rejected.  I see no place to enter in the return that we filed separately last year so that I can add his AGI.  What am I supposed to do??  Since we are out of the country I would have to FedEx it to the IRS and I really don't want to do that.  Thanks for your assistance.

If you filed separately then your spouse does have an AGI--it is on line 8b of his own 2019 Form 1040.  Enter each of your 2019 AGI amounts.   If you filed a joint return for 2019 the amount would be the same---but since you filed separate returns for 2019 the amounts are different.
