The earlier posts regarding the prevention of efiling because of an unnecessary n158 do not work. In my case, the property is taxed in another state, so it doesn't apply to HI, not to mention that it is passive income, so it also shouldn't be reported on N158, but I cannot figure out how to tell TT that there is no n158 needed or wanted, so that it will efile.
I have deleted the figure shown as investment interest on the HI return, but neither a zero nor a blank take away the error message preventing efiling.
Any help out there?
