If you receive Social Security benefits, see this US Treasury website - https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/sm967

i went to the site and it just says people who dont usually need to do there taxes, is it saying that all social security beneficiaries will get a check without doing anything? its so confusing because the irs said you do not need to file taxes to get it but then it says there is a portal for people with ssi to file taxes and give info to the irs, thank you for your help, im trying to be patient but im just trying to make sure i will get it and need to know if i need to do anything else.
