Unfortunately, No. There are some exceptions to the six month rule, but they don't seem to apply here.
If your child was born or died during the year and lived with you, your home was the child’s home for the entire time.
Fortunately, this is not the case.
If you don't meet the dependency criteria, certain temporary absences may help you to take the Dependency status.
IRS approved temporary absences generally include:
- Business
- Education
- Illness
- Juvenile detention
- Medical care
- Military service
- Vacation
None of these seem to apply.
