Hello I recently worked in another state than the one I reside in

I know I will probably have to file two state taxes I am wondering what my cheapest turbo tax option is. Mobile or pc software?

Yes - Since you had income in both states, you will have to file two state returns for 2019--one as a resident; the other as a nonresident.  Be sure to prepare the nonresident state return first.

For the future, you should check to see of the two states have reciprocity.  Reciprocity is an agreement between two states that allows residents of one state to request exemption from tax withholding in the other (reciprocal) state. This can save you the trouble of having to file multiple state returns in the future.  To find out if your two states have reciprocity, please see this TurboTax Help article:  Which states have reciprocal agreements?

To compare Turbo Products, please click on this link:  Compare TurboTax Online Products  Then select either the Online or Desktop tab.

  • The state return is a separate charge in all Online versions.  The e-filing fee is included in the price of the state.
  • The desktop CD/Download program, Deluxe and above, comes with a state program to prepare unlimited state returns which you can print and mail for free. There will be an additional charge to e-file a state tax return.  Currently, that e-filing fee is $19.99 per e-file.  All prices are subject to change at any time and without prior notice.
