Hello, I'm having issues with the area of a 1095-A form. I don't have the papers for it since I was on my moms plan. But it keeps rejecting when I say no. What do I do?

I've tried clicking no multiple times but it continues to reject the form and I'm just getting so frustrated with this.

If your name and social security number are reported as one that had insurance through the marketplace, you must enter the 1095-A.  You will need to get it from your mom, enter it exactly how it appears, and then you will select that this policy is shared with other people.

After you select that the policy is shared with other people you will be given the chance to allocate the premiums.  You can choose to allocate 0% if your mom is allocating 100% to herself.  If you allocate 0% it will have no affect on your tax return.  However, you will not be able to file without entering that form.

I am having the exact same issue! It will not save my "no" entry. There is also another question in this same section where it asks about a spouse's high deductible plan and give no option for, "he doesn't have a high deductible plan". Waiting for an answer but since this was posted a week ago....

What if the plan is not shared and is a high deductible?

@mollybry7 The 1095-A relates to coverage from the government's healthcare marketplace.  If you have a 1095-A or received coverage from the marketplace you have to enter that information into your tax return in order to file.

The high deductible plan for your spouse may relate to an HSA deduction from his W2 from his employer.  If he has an HSA through work he probably also has a high deductible plan through work.
